Outreach provides essential resources to support youth performing arts throughout Santa Barbara County. A summary and link for each program and application are below.
Important
- The Organization and/or program should be focused on performing arts education for students in grades K – High School. Exceptions should be discussed before applying.
- The Bowl supports programs within Santa Barbara County.
- Applying organizations must be a non-profit organization with tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3); or a not-for-profit educational institution; or have a confirmed fiscal sponsorship with a registered 501(c)(3) organization.

Instrument Fund
The Instrument Fund ensures that students have access to quality instruments and the resources they need to thrive as musicians.

Community Ticket Subsidy – CTS
Santa Barbara Bowl Outreach offers subsidized concert tickets for organizations and programs serving youth in Santa Barbara County. These tickets make it possible for K-12 students to experience live performances at the Bowl and in the community.
The Community Ticket Subsidy is funded through generous donations from local supporters.
Flash Grants
Flash Grants respond quickly and focus on short-term projects and/or immediate-use opportunities. They are designed to reduce barriers, expedite grant support, and bridge applicants to the Outreach Grant Cycles (Spring and Fall). Apply!
- The maximum request is $3,000.
- Applications will be responded to within 14 days of submission
- Flash Grant applications are accepted year-round.
Sponsorship Request
Santa Barbara Bowl Outreach supports community arts events through mutually beneficial sponsorships. To be eligible, events must feature or directly benefit youth performing arts within Santa Barbara County.
Legacy Scholarships
Santa Barbara Bowl Outreach awards two scholarships each year to Santa Barbara County high school seniors continuing their education in the performing arts.
Administered in partnership with the Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara, interested students may apply through SFSB’s General Scholarship Program. Apply!
