Accessibility at the Bowl
The Santa Barbara Bowl makes it a priority to provide equal access for patrons attending each Bowl event. To this end, we provide accessible seating, parking and listening to every patron as needed.
The Bowl offers accessible seating to our concertgoers including wheelchair-accessible locations. Concertgoers wishing to arrange accessible seating tickets may do so in person at the Dreier Box Office during regular business hours or via the Bowl's web-site by clicking the accessible link for any concert. For questions regarding the ordering process, please contact the box office during business hours.
The complimentary accessible shuttle transports patrons to the Bowl's Main Plaza and return to the Dreier Box Office. The shuttle pickup is at the Security Check near the Dreier Box Office. Pick up begins when gates open for the concert and continues throughout the evening.
Accessible parking is available on-site, however, spaces generally sell out prior to each event. If on-site spaces are unavailable, patrons can be cropped off on Milpas in front of the Dreier Box Office and shake the shuttle. Customers desiring a reserved parking space may contact the box office in person or by phone during regular hours.
We’ve partnered with OTOjOY to provide concertgoers with unprecedented high-quality assistive listening services. The Bowl’s entire seating area has been ‘looped’ to give customers access to high-quality assistive listening services any time during a concert. Hearing loop systems take the sound straight from the mix-board, through an amplifier and into a magnetic-field generating looped wire. Hearing aids equipped with telecoils (T-coils) pick up the signal automatically with no background or extraneous noises.
Follow these instructions to use the Bowl’s Hearing Loop:
- Switch your hearing aid or cochlear implant to the “T”, telephone, or hearing loop program. Most hearing aids are supplied with a T-coil but if you are unsure, please check with your audiologist or hearing aid specialist.
- Request a receiver from a volunteer usher. A credit card or ID will be held and returned after the concert.
