SANTA BARBARA BOWL
After a string of non-stop touring in support of their 2012 debut album ‘My Head Is an Animal’, the Icelandic folk indie-pop band is back to tug on our heartstrings with a whole new album, ‘Beneath The Skin.’ It is set for release on June 9th via Republic Records. Our first peek at the sophomore release is the new track ‘I Of The Storm.’ The song is a reflection of the band’s new sound, a departure from their first LP which reached the Top 20 in nearly a dozen countries. Nanna Bryndis Hilmarsdottir, lead singer of the five-member band, welcomes their new direction, describing the writing process as completely honest and unguarded.
Lucky for us, Of Monsters and Men will be performing at the SB Bowl on May 17th for the 11th annual KJEE Summer Round-Up! They will be joined by Banks, Walk the Moon, Family of the Year, and The Blues & Greys. Doors are 4:00 pm.
