SANTA BARBARA BOWL
If you are a resident of the Tri-State area or just visiting New York City, specifically in the Central Park area, you were witness to the 1st free show of their “Summer Stage” concert series right on the green. Who kicked off the 2015 season? It was none-other than the husband-wife rock duo Tedeschi Trucks Band!
New York City has a long standing history of providing its local residents & visitors legendary FREE shows in the Central Park area including Elton John, Bob Marley, Billy Joel and Paul Simon. Many artists start or make a stop during their tour runs to play in this OPEN environment.
The Tedeschi Trucks Band kicked off the 2015 Summer Stage Concert series on May 18th & needless to say the reviews coming in from both critics and concert goers is nothing but stellar.
The biggest highlight was the unexpected appearance of Sharon Jones joining Tedeschi Trucks Band live on stage to cover Etta James. Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings are scheduled to open for Tedeschi Trucks Band including the SB Bowl stop on June 7. Miss Jones was flown out special just for the one-off in New York.
