📣 Introducing a new merch design inspired by a story at the heart of the Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation: Lucky the Red-tailed Hawk, a symbol of resilience and what’s possible when a community comes together.
In spring 2024, strong winds on the Bowl grounds led to an emergency that called for quick action and real teamwork. A Red-tailed Hawk nestling fell nearly 150 feet from a eucalyptus tree at the Bowl. What happened next brought Bowl staff, local experts, and community partners together around one goal: helping the bird recover.
SB Wildlife Care Network and Branch Out Tree Care stepped in, bringing the expertise and commitment that made a positive outcome possible. Their response is a great example of the partnerships that strengthen the Santa Barbara community every day.
Stories like this remind us that real impact happens when people show up for each other. It reflects the values that have guided the Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation since 1936: connection, stewardship, collaboration, and community.
The new merch design celebrates those values and the collective effort that makes the Bowl more than a concert venue.
