SANTA BARBARA BOWL
Listen. Play. Enjoy. Come down to Funk Zone this weekend to witness the artful creation of 11 art pianos during this weekend’s Focus on the Funkzone.
Pianos on State, an interactive musical experience coinciding with the 2012 New Noise Festival (www.newnoisesb.org). The third annual installment will take place from November 1st through 12th. Each piano will become its own piece of art as local professional Santa Barbara artists create unique looks. Pianos will be available for musical exploration, impromptu play and group performances morning, afternoon and evening over two weekends (10am – 10pm per piano). Amateur, professional and public musicians alike are invited to sit down and play.
This project also raises awareness for Santa Barbara Bowl’s music instrument and equipment drive. Over 250 instruments have been collected and distributed to local youth through the previous Instrument Drives.
