Santa Barbara received a lot of much-needed rain this past winter giving the community a reprieve from the long-standing drought.
However, these rains caused a sizable slide at the Bowl when run-off undercut a large portion of the area above Section O.
Approximately 400 cubic yards of dirt were removed or re-graded to insure the hill-side was ready for the 2019 Concert Season. Using funds from dedicated Bowl donors who earmarked their contributions for moments like these, the area was secured, cleaned, prepped and readied for the first event of the year.
Local experts will assist with insuring the hill-side remains stable into the future.
