SANTA BARBARA BOWL
On February 19, Jack and Kim Johnson, as members of the Sustainable Concerts Working Group, invited SB Bowl Program Director Eric Shiflett to participate on Pollstar Live’s Sustainable Touring panel. The group seeks to establish best practices for events to improve sustainability in the music and touring industry. The Strive for Five EnviroRider recommendations focus on areas of fan transportation, reducing waste and single-use items (especially plastic), sustainable and local food in concessions areas, alternative fuel and energy for productions, and effective ways to communicate changes and initiatives to colleagues and fans.
