Sonos was founded in 2002 with a mission to fill every home on earth with music, including all those right here in our hometown of Santa Barbara. At the very least, the Bowl and Sonos want to inspire the Santa Barbara community to listen to music out loud, at every possible opportunity. That’s why we’ve partnered with the Santa Barbara Parks and Rec Department and the Burger Bus to host a very special music-themed movie night at the Sunken Gardens.
On September 22, The Santa Barbara Bowl, Sonos and partners will be screening It Might Get Loud, A documentary on the electric guitar from the point of view of three significant rock musicians: the Edge, Jimmy Page and Jack White. The movie will start at 8:00PM, as the sky darkens for optimal viewing conditions.
The event will be kicked off with a raffle at 7:30PM, with all proceeds going toNotes for Notes, a non-profit that provides youth with free access to musical instruments, instruction and music making environments. Your donation will enter you for a chance to win one of several prizes, including Sonos products, a Santa Barbara Bowl VIP package, and Burger Bus gift certificates.
As always, the Santa Barbara Parks and Rec Department invites you to bring a picnic basket and a breathable blanket for comfortable seating. For those who neglect to pack dinner, the Burger Bus will be offering refreshments outside the courthouse.
