Santa Barbara Bowl Names Administration Building/Box Office in Honor of Dreier Family

The Board of Directors of the Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation is pleased to announce that the box office and operational headquarters will be named the “Dreier Administration Building & Box Office” in honor of local philanthropists, Ginni and R. Chad Dreier and family. In 2004, when the American Classic Campaign for the restoration and renovation of the Santa Barbara Bowl was announced, the Dreiers stepped forward and made the first seven-figure gift and the first matching grant to the campaign. Their philanthropic leadership helped generate over $1,000,000 in new pledges and donations and set the standard for local donors and philanthropists. To-date, $16,736,836 has been raised in cash and pledges.“The Santa Barbara Bowl is unique in California,” said Chad Dreier. “We have attended dozens of wonderful concerts there over the years and felt it was our responsibility to take this step to help protect such an important asset in the lives of all Santa Barbarans. To have the headquarters and box office named for us is icing on the cake!”The Dreier Building is being dedicated in recognition of the Dreier’s generosity although the actual renovation work isn’t scheduled to commence until the Overlook and Seating projects are completed. The renovation of the administration building and lower plaza will include an expanded and improved box office and administration offices, updated traffic and pedestrian control, and better flow for concert operations.
