Ever since his time as head of the Dire Straits, British singer-songwriter, Mark Knopfler, has successfully continued his rock career as a solo artist with an impressive array of work in song writing, film scoring, artist collaborating, and performing. Together with Dire Straits he has sold over 120 million albums to date and won four GRAMMIES. His commitment to good song writing and good music is most recently found in his new album Tracker, which was recorded in old-fashioned analog and features an impassioned homage to the British noveleist Beryl Bainbridge.
