Marina Graham has been attending shows at the SB Bowl since there was still a lawn in the General Admission area. So when her beloved friend, Bobbi, passed, it was only natural that Marina would select the Bowl as a place of remembrance for her music-loving friend. Here is their story:
“Bobbi left us too early. She left an impact on every person that met her. Whether it be her laugh or her Betty Davis eyes you remembered her. She is my son James’ god mother and instilled his love of music. A young mother of twin daughters, she played music and sang with them always. My hope is this seat will be a place people who love Bobbi can visit when they go the Santa Barbara Bowl. [With her] family and friends being from Santa Barbara, she will be remembered often. The Santa Barbara Bowl holds a special place for my friendship and love for Bobbi. We have many memories there. Making something like this affordable for everyone made this an easy choice. The Santa Barbara Bowl is a beautiful place, but knowing something this special to me and my family will be there also just made it that much more beautiful.”
Everyone at the Bowl thanks Marina for sharing such a sentimental story. We are honored to be a part of it.
