SANTA BARBARA BOWL
Wendy Barels has been named a board member of the Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation. After teaching math at both Bishop and Dos Pueblos high schools for several years, Ms. Barels wrote successful educational algebra programs for a local computer company. Over the last 10 years, she has been involved with a variety of charitable organizations and causes, including Food From the Heart, Dream Foundation, Girls’ Inc. and Seacology. She also sits on the Education Outreach Committee. Reaching approximately 15,000 Santa Barbara-area students each year, the Education Outreach Program, led by Bowl board members and other volunteers, funds performances by world-class artists.
