Soon after the release of her first EP “London” in 2013, the sultry R&B songstress BANKS shook the music blogosphere with the announcement of her debut album, “Goddess” via Harvest Records. The record was met with rave reviews – and it wasn’t long before artists started clamoring to remix her hit songs. Now the OC-native singer is making headway in the world of late night talk shows.

Take her mesmerizing live performance on Late Show with David Letterman, for example. The singer performed the hit single “Begging for Thread” off her debut album “Goddess” in what might be best described as an octagonal chamber of mirrors which lit up in a kaleidoscopic visual feast of light and multiple BANKS-es throughout. BANKS might be best described as a private and guarded person, but she’s anything but a simple performer when it comes to live performances. Rather, BANKS is known for setting her slow-burning vocals, gritty lyrics, and heavy synth production to a background of stunning visual production.

BANKS will be performing at the 11th annual KJEE Summer Round-Up at the SB Bowl on May 17th, which features Of Monsters and Men, Walk the Moon, Family of the Year, and The Blues & Greys. Show starts at 5:00 pm.
