On July 2nd, there will be a special opportunity to support Art From Scrap at the My Morning Jacket concert at the Santa Barbara Bowl. Equally known for its riveting live performances and its commitment to environmental and social issues, My Morning Jacket has elected to donate a portion of proceeds from every show to nonprofit organizations that focus on the arts and environment. For its Bowl performance, My Morning Jacket has chosen Art From Scrap (AFS) to be their exclusive nonprofit beneficiary organization in Santa Barbara.
My Morning Jacket will donate $1.00 to Art From Scrap for every ticket sold for the band’s Santa Barbara concert. AFS Executive Director Cay Sanchez says, “We’re excited about this opportunity and thank My Morning Jacket for their donation. We invite the Santa Barbara community to take advantage of this opportunity to support Art From Scrap and to see this great band!”
Art From Scrap will have an informational table at the concert on Saturday, July 2. If you want to hear some inspiring music while supporting the arts and environment, purchase your tickets soon! Tickets are available at the Santa Barbara Bowl Box Office, online at sbbowl.com or by calling (800) 745-3000. Check out the band’s website at mymorningjacket.com.
