A Dia de Los Muertos Celebration at The Santa Barbara Bowl Friday, November 1st

Celebrate LIFE and DEATH by paying respect to the memory of musicians who have walked the halls of the Santa Barbara Bowl including, Bob Marley, Joe Strummer, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Carl Wilson (Beach Boys), Adam Yauch (Beastie Boys), Frank Zappa, Donna Summer, and others.The Bowl will be transformed with Day of the Dead décor! Festivities begin at 4:30 PM and feature Altars, Day of the Dead face painting (face painting is free and is first come, first serve while supplies last), Aztec dancers, traditional Mexican music, live theatre performances, and local art inspired by this beautiful Mexican Holiday. Dia de los Muertos costumes are strongly encouraged.

The festivities will continue with performances by one of the most fun theatrical live bands, The Flaming Lips, along with the Aussie group, Tame Impala for a full evening of celebration!
