Cafe Tacuba is celebrating their 20th anniversary of their album “Re”. “Re” is a record that changed Latin music forever by introducing new sounds to Latin Rock. Their 20th anniversary sparked their U.S. tour which they are currently on. The band is making “Re” the main focus of the show (they are playing Re in its entirety), thinking back to the importance the album had twenty years ago, and how it has persisted through two decades. Not only is the group celebrating their music, they are also becoming social activists, addressing disparities in Mexico and the United States. The group has been very vocal on the recent disappearance of 43 Mexican students and have been protesting it as a crime against humanity. Not only are they using their music to unite, they are using it ad a to call to action against the violence in Mexico.
You can check out Cafe Tacuba along with Ozomatli, Las Cafeteras, Hy Brasil, Carlos Nino, and DJ Tropicaz for our Dia de los Muertos Celebration going down this Saturday November 1st. Purcahse tickets here
