Santa Barbara band Rebelution recently released their fourth full-length album on their own label 87 music, partnering for the first time with Easy Star Records. This year marks the band’s tenth year together and guitarist/singer Eric Rachmany says, “we still have the same energy as we did as as a young band, if not more. The more experience we had doing this, the more inspired we became.”
Off the new album “Count Me In”, the singer explains, “every song has a story”. Each song combines powerful energy that contains hopeful, positive messages. Such as, seen in the lyrics of the song “More Love” (“You’re in a dream, wake up and now gear up/Come on”). This song’s story looks at an edge of history and draws on the roots-reggae tradition.
