Local community member and music enthusiast Steve Lily looks back 18 years at his first visit to the Santa Barbara Bowl:

"My first show was Madness with Blink182 and the Aquabats. What a show it was! I was just a kid in 1998, well 20 years old, but I still felt and acted like one. I actually worked for the management of one of the opening bands, the Aquabats. Made the drive up solo from Newport Beach and fortunately bumped into my bosses upon arrival, so I was quickly ushered in with them and was handed a tour laminate, which gave me the greatest access and view for the night. Instantly fell in love with the venue, but unfortunately never made it back. Until now! As of September 2015, I finally settled into this amazing town. The rest is history..."
