Yes, SB Bowl puts on some of the best concerts in the U.S., but there are many other ways that we strive to be the leading outdoor performing arts center in the country. At the forefront is community outreach. It is imperative to invest in our future audiences and artists, so that we can do our part in sustaining a culture of musical and performance diversity within the Santa Barbara community.

One of the ways that we aim to achieve this goal is by offering support to local organizations that facilitate arts education for youth through grants and sponsorships. SB Bowl EdOut is proud to have sponsored Aha!'s Sing It Out again in 2017! Every spring, AHA!'s Sing It Out program takes students on a 12 week after school journey of music education. In the 13th week of the program, the teens get to perform on stage in front of friends, family, and the community. This years performance was held at The Lobero Theatre on April 30.

Development Director, Molly Green, shares that this process has proven to be an "opportunity [for teens] to overcome challenges through finding their voice, supporting one another through an exhilarating and sometimes terrifying process, and shining onstage in front of 500 community members." When speaking on how important support from the community is to Sing It Out she states, "We cannot overstate how much it means to the success of our programs to have the ongoing partnership with community leaders such as SB Bowl Foundation. Our goal is to make the Santa Barbara community a model city where social-emotional learning and social conscience are woven into compass cultures in all area middle and high schools."

Help us continue to grow youth arts organizations and performances in our community by donating today.
