French-born artist SoKo not only has an extremely unique look, but also a very unique emotional depth to her lyrics and songs. SoKo opened for Foster the People at UC San Diego's RIMAC and the crowd could feel her pouring her soul out on the stage. She pulls emotion from the sad and vulnerable times where she wants to be alone and writes lyrics based on the mysterious thoughts in her head. Some of her emotions create a more somber and sweet mood in the audience, but her energy and vibrant attitude allow for a very captivating stage presence. According to SoKo, she "wants the audience to cry so many tears of sadness and joy at the same time ". During her performance of "I Thought I Was an Alien", SoKo invited people from the audience to join her on stage and dance like aliens.

SoKo is currently working on a second album titled "My Dreams Dictate my Reality", which she promises will be different than her fist album. She explains that there will be a more dark, goth sound to the album and it is all about childhood and the refusal to grow up. There is no doubt that SoKo will continue to thrive with her music and her ability to make people feel exactly what she is feeling in her songs. Catch SoKo performing this November at the Santa Barbara Bowl alongside Foster the People—this is a great opportunity to see and feel exactly what SoKo does!
