Santa Barbara Bowl Outreach is proud to help present the 9th Annual Pianos On State, taking place this year from October 2-24. For the past 9 years, the Bowl has collaborated with other local Santa Barbara organization including the City of Santa Barbara, Downtown Santa Barbara, and Santa Barbara Arts Collaborative (to name a few), to put on this awesome event that countless Santa Barbara locals look forward to each year.

Pianos on State selects a small number of lucky artists who will be given a budget for art supplies, a piano, and the free will to decorate the piano however they envision. Upon completion, the pianos will be displayed along State Street for three weeks so anyone can enjoy them and create music. The search for talented artists has begun and SB Bowl Outreach encourages you to apply for the chance to create a masterpiece for the city of Santa Barbara. Applications for artists will include 3 digital examples of your artwork design, 2 digital examples of past work, and one paragraph describing why you are interested in participating. Head to the SB Arts Collaborative website to apply, the deadline for submissions in August 17.
