There are many traditions associated with summer and for the last seven years, performing at U.S. amphitheaters has become a tradition for SLIGHTLY STOOPID and their fans. This summer, SLIGHTLY STOOPID will bring their “SUMMER SESSIONS 2014” tour to 25 cities nationwide. Helping them deliver the ultimate jam session to the Santa Barbara Bowl this year will be hip hop icons Cypress Hill, and 7-time Grammy winner Stephen Marley on Friday, July 25th. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 4th @ 4 pm.

SLIGHTLY STOOPID has amassed incredible success in their nearly two decades as a band. Their critically acclaimed studio album Top of the World (August 2012) debuted at #13 on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart, #3 on the Billboard Independent chart and #4 on both the Rock and Alternative album charts. This followed the Slightly Stoopid & Friends Live at Roberto’s Tri Studios album recorded live from Grateful Dead member Bob Weir’s Tri Studios complex featuring special guests Karl Denson, Ivan Neville, Ian Neville, Don Carlos and Bob Weir himself, which aired exclusively on Palladia. Known for their fusion of folk, rock, reggae and blues with hip-hop, metal, punk, funk and D.I.Y. work ethic, SLIGHTLY STOOPID has currently sold over 900,000 records on their own Stoopid Records label. The band has performed twice on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and has appeared on many prestigious festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, New Orleans Jazz Fest, Outside Lands, Austin City Limits and for the first time will appear at 2014’s Bonnaroo Festival this June. Over the last seven summers, SLIGHTLY STOOPID has headlined packages in outdoor U.S. amphitheaters with such artists as Snoop Dogg, Cypress Hill, 311, Atmosphere and more.

As a special incentive to loyal fans who purchase a pre-sale ticket for “Summer Sessions 2014,” the band is offering two unreleased studio songs. The free downloads will include the exclusive first offering ever of the newly written and unreleased tracks.
